First things first, let's get something out of the way: I am ridiculously proud to be a Buffalonian (albeit a currently displaced one). While the rest of the world may view Buffalo as a washed-up old steel town with a penchant for losing professional sports teams and too much snow, I feel extremely fortunate to have been born and raised in the Queen City. And the general populous of Buffalo agree with me on this sentiment. Just visit any sports bar in any major city across the globe: I guarantee you there will be a Bills jersey there and they will corner you to discuss Buffalo's inherent community-driven ethos and imminent rise from the Upstate New York ashes. Yes Buffalo has gone through decades of economic downturn, blizzards, and sports heartbreak. But despite all of our hardship in sports, economics and weather, Buffalo is sending out green shoots left and right!
I recently spent a week on “vacation” in Buffalo and will be sharing
some highlights of my great trip upstate to Buffalo throughout the next
few posts. Follow me as I detail visits to the Niagara escarpment wine country, discover my CraVings for the North Buffalo restaurant scene and many more fun adventures from the City of Good Neighbors!
